Kapahaka Regionals

Unfortunately this project hasn't been funded on time!

We are fund raising to take our team to the Kapahaka regional.

Your donations will help with transport and marae stay.

The Te Arawa Regional Kapa Haka competition will showcase the traditional-contemporary performing arts, presented by the tribal groups of Te Arawa region.

This prestigious competition will see the groups competing for the honour of representing Te Arawa at the Te Matatini National Kapa Haka competition in 2017.

Te Matatini is the world’s largest celebration of Māori Performing Arts. Kapa Haka groups from all over New Zealand and Australia compete for the “best of the best” crown, in the traditional performance disciplines of Haka, Poi and Waiata.
